Three children die as cotton heap falls on them

Three minor children died after a heap of cotton collapsed on them in their house in Korukondapelly village in the district today, police said.
The incident happened when three siblings B Venu (11), Bhadrakali (5), and B. Vickey (3) were playing inside the house, they said.
They entered the room where cotton was stored and locked it from inside while playing, police said.
According to police, the heap of cotton fell on the children, resulting into their death apparently due to asphyxiation.
Their parents were out of the town when the incident took place, police added.
