Three children drown in Gujarat

Three children, including two girls of a family, drowned today when they accompanied their mother for washing clothes at a check dam over Hadaf river near Limkheda town here, police said.
Vijay Hathila (8) suddenly fell into the water while her mother was washing clothes. In an attempt to save him, two sisters Kanta (21) and Neeta (15) also jumped into the water, they said.
Some youths, who were nearby, tried to save the trio but did not succeed. Their bodies were fished out from the water later, police added.
