The conference will be coinciding with the centenary celebrations of Dayalbagh Deemed University at Agra in Uttar Pradesh, he told reporters.
More conferences will be held later with the objective of creating hitherto non-existent disciplines like Solar Architecture and this will help in making the state's institutions come to grips with the front line research and development challenges that are plaguing solar energy related industries.
The conference was being held as part of the Government of India's Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) that aims to accelerate development and promotion of solar energy technologies in the country.
