Acting on a tip, the Crime Branch cops arrested Mohammad Hasim, 61, near Sarai Kale Khan ISBT and recovered three firearms from a specially designed cavity of his hatchback, said Ravindra Yadav, Joint Commissioner (Crime) of Police.
During interrogation, Hasim revealed the names of his suppliers including Khilafat and Saroon.
Saroon, 45, was arrested from his village and two more country made firearms were recovered from his shop. Khilafat, 66, was also arrested from his village in Meerut and locally made firearms were recovered from him.
"Khilafat has a very wide network of supply and further raids are going on to apprehend other receivers and associates of the gang. In the past, efforts were made to apprehend him, but he always managed to elude police," he said.
