: Three girl students were reported missing from here and a search is on for them, police said Tuesday.
Shanmugapriya, Padmapriya and Saranya, all aged 15 and belonging to suburban Erode, had gone to school on Monday and did not return home, the police said.
The parents of the students studying in class X searched in vain and lodged a complaint with the police.
The police sifted through footage of CCTV cameras at Erode Municipal Corporation central bus stand and railway station and also in other areas to find whether the girls had left Erode by train or bus.
Investigation was also on to find whether the girls had been kidnapped by some persons, the police said.
