Three killed, four injured as jeep falls into gorge

Three persons were killed and four injured when a jeep in which they were travelling plunged into a gorge in Uttarakhand's Tehri district in the wee hours today, police said.
The ill-fated jeep was on its way to Devprayag when it fell into an 800-foot deep gorge at Saurpani, 50-km from Rishikesh, Devprayag SHO H S Negi said.
All the three died instantly, he said adding the injured were admitted to a hospital in Rishikesh.
