Three killed in car-lorry collision in Tirupur district
Three persons were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a rice-laden lorry in nearby Tirupur district today, police said.
A couple hailing from Tiruchirapalli was proceeding to their native, when the mishap occurred.
When the vehicle approached Vellakoil, the driver lost control of it and rammed into a lorry coming in the opposite direction, resulting in the death of all three occupants, they said.
A case has been registered, police said.
