The incident took place at Serikheri on Raipur-Odisa highway under Mandir Hasaud police station limits when the victims were going to Naya Raipur for an outing, Mana City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Mukesh Khare told PTI.
As per preliminary investigation, the youth were going to Naya Raipur when their car hit a vehicle from left side and crashed into divider at Serikheri leaving them critically injured.
The deceased have been identified as Anisha (22), a native of Odissa and Raipur-based Sharlyn alias Kiran (20) and Siddharth Jain (20), the CSP said.
The three of the five injured during treatment succumbed to their injuries, he added.
Police said a case has been registered in this connection and investigations are underway.
