Police said, one Biswajit Singh (38) strangulated to death his ten-year old son, Debasish at his house at Kathaliamura village in Sipahijala district when he was sleeping.
Police said, Debasish was sleeping with his father, but in the morning villagers found his dead body with his hands and legs tied with a rope.
The father admitted that he killed Debasish on the suspicion that he was not his real child.
On June 27 last, Biswajit hacked to death his wife Menaka on the plea that she had illicit relation with another man.
In a separate incident, a group of about five tribal youths stormed into the house of one Shyamchandra Tripura yesterday and had beaten to death his wife Ajongmala Tripura (60) and her daughter Puspamala (35) on the suspicion that they were witches.
Police said, the deceased had practiced black magic and added one person was arrested in this connection.
