Three members of a family were killed and two others seriously injured in a tractor-truck collision in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara district, police said.
The incident took place near Singodi village late Wednesday night.
The victims were returning in the tractor after attending a religious function on the banks of the Pench river when the vehicle was hit by a truck from the opposite side, said inspector Jitendra Yadav of Singodi police station.
Prakash Chandravanshi (17), Rakesh Chandravanshi (35) and Bhakatha Chandravanshi (70), hailing from Kosmi village, were killed on the spot, he said.
The truck driver and another person who was in the truck were seriously injured and were being treated at the district hospital, inspector Yadav said.
Further probe is on.
