The truck coming from the wrong side hit the members of the marriage party who were alighting from a bus at Sirsaud Chouraha under Amola police station limits.
Three victims -- identified as Suman Lodhi (25), Pushpa Lodhi (40) and Pooja (15) -- were killed on the spot.
Three others also sustained serious injuries in the mishap, police said, adding that it is suspected that the driver of the dumper was in an inebriated condition and had lost control over the vehicle.
Later, the mob also set afire a police anti-riot truck (Vajra), a tehsildar's official car, an ambulance and the dumper due to which the accident took place, police said.
The District Collector and Superintendent of Police (SP) have reached the spot to take control of the situation.
The injured persons have been referred to nearby hospitals for treatment, police added.
