Three labourers killed as marble slabs fall on them

Three labourers were today crushed to death after the marble slabs they were unloading from a truck came crashing down on them, police said.
Sunil Rangaon (27), Dilip (28) and Kamal (30) were unloading the marble slabs from the truck at the cotton ginning factory of MLA Balkrishna Patidar situated on Temla road here.
"Suddenly, the heavy marble slabs came crashing down in huge quantity and the labourers were caught under it, killing them on the spot," District Superintendent of Police Amit Singh said.
The marble stock had been brought to the factory for a construction work in progress, he said.

"We are going to register a case against those responsible for the deaths," the SP said.
Further investigation into the case is on.
