Notifications to this effect were issued here yesterday, official sources said today.
The state government had recently announced its decision to grant municipal corporation status to Rudrapur, Kashipur and Roorkee municipal councils.
The respective district magistrates have been appointed administrators of the newly constituted corporations.
With this move, the number of municipal corporations in the state has risen to six including Dehradun, Haridwar and Haldwani.
