A couple and their daughter were found dead after allegedly consuming poison at a lodge while another daughter is undergoing treatment at the Government hospital here, police said Thursday.
Employees at the lodge noticed that the door of the room, where the family from Chennai stayed since last night, was not opened for long and broke it open only to find the couple and daughter lying dead, while another was struggling for life, police sources said.
Police found a bottle of soft drink laced with poison and recovered a note purportedly written by the man stating they took the extreme step due to financial burden, the sources said.
