Three of the five labourers, abducted by the Maoists from Basaiya village in Jamui district, were released today, police said.
About 50 Maoists swooped on a private road construction company's camp in the village and abducted the five labourers last night, Superintendent of Police Deepak Burnwal said.
While three of them were released, two are still in the captivity of the Maoists, he said.
Police suspect that the abducted persons might have been kept in the surrounding forest and a combing operation has been launched to rescue the two labourers and arrest the rebels.
