Based on a complaint by M A Mahmood Pattarai that three persons belonging to a little known outfit had attacked him with a sickle, a case was registered at Arumuganeri Police Station in Tuticorin district.
The incident was due to previous enmity regarding the complainant's alleged involvement in damaging a Dargah at Arumuganeri, a police statement said.
The case of attack was later transferred to CB-CID, which arrested all the accused -- P M Saddiq, Tajudeen and Manzur of Kayalpattinam and filed a charge sheet.
