With the arrest of three alleged shooters of gangster Sushil Mooch, police today claimed to have solved the killing of a dairy owner in the district last October.
The three shooters were arrested from New Mandi police station area yesterday evening, senior suprintendent of police (SSP) Anant Dev said.
The three shooters were identified as Sanjay, Karan Vats and Manoj Kumar, he said.
They have confessed to killing the dairy owner Sushil alias Chiku in New Mandi area here on October 16 last, the SSP said.
Gangster Sushil Mooch, who ran an organized network of hired assassins in Western UP and was involved in contract killings and extortion, was named in more than 40 murders when he was arrested in 2012.
He was later released on bail two years ago and has been absconding since then.
