According to police, a group of five boys, had gone to the pond on the outskirts of Kakarapallly village of Satupally mandal at around 3 PM.
Out of which two boys- M Prasanth and his brother M Dhanush, entered the water for swimming. However,they started drowning, they said.
"Seeing them drown, T Dileep (11), too entered the water to save them. However, he too got drowned in the process," Satupally Circle Inspector Venkanna Babu told PTI over phone.
The two others brought the matter to the notice of locals after which all the three bodies were fished out and sent for postmortem, police said, adding investigations are underway.
