The incident took place last evening when the girl was playing outside a gurudwara near Adarsh Nagar area when the accused abducted and took her to an isolated area on the highway and committed the misdeed, ACP Madan Singh said.
He then abandoned the girl there and fled from the spot.
She was found standing near a milestone on the highway by a police patrolling party late last night and was taken to a hospital where she is undergoing treatment, Singh said, adding that a search is on to nab the accused.
