The MeT department here forecast moderate to heavy rain in sub-Himalayan West Bengal for tomorrow, while the southern districts are likely to get one or two spells of rain.
Diamond Harbour recorded the day's highest temperature in the state at 35.7 degrees Celsius, the Met department said.
Kolkata followed closely at 35.5 degree Celsius with humidity and discomfort factor, as the city recorded 7.8 mm rainfall.
The weatherman has forecast moderate to heavy rain in the sub-Himalayan districts of Darjeeling, Cooch Behar and Jalpaiguri for tomorrow.
