According to the Met office, day temperatures fell in Agra, Bareilly and Meerut divisions and changed a little in the remaining divisions.
Day temperatures were above normal in Varanasi, Faizabad and Allahabad divisions, below normal in Agra and Meerut divisions and normal in the remaining divisions.
Allahabd recorded the highest temperature of 43.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal, followed by Churk (42.4 degrees Celsius) and Banda (42.2 degrees Celsius).
Ghazipur recorded a maximum temperature of 41.7 degrees Celsius, six notches above normal and the state capital of Lucknow recorded a high of 41.8 degrees Celsius.
