Thunderstorms, rains in parts of Rajasthan

Thunderstorms accompanied by rains at isolated places in Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions brought down the day temperature by a few notches in parts of Rajasthan even as Churu recorded a maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius.
According to MeT office, heat wave conditions prevailed in some areas of the state. Kota recorded maximum temperature of 41.8 degrees Celsius, it said.
Bikaner, Chittorgarh and Ganganagar recorded maximum of 41, 40.6 and 40.4 degrees C, according to Met department here.
The department, in a forecast, has predicted thunderstorms with light rains at isolated pockets in northern parts of the state during next 24 hours.
