Tibetans protesting outside Chinese Embassy in Delhi held
Press Trust of India New Delhi Workers of the Tibetan Youth Congress were today detained while protesting outside the Chinese Embassy here on the eve of the Tibetan National Uprising Day, police said.
Around 60-70 workers of the Tibetan Youth Congress had gathered outside the embassy. They were detained and taken to the Chanakyapuri police station and released after a couple of hours, a senior official said.
Tibetans commemorate the anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising on March 10 by paying tribute to those who "sacrificed" their lives for "independence" of Tibet.
