Tight movements in steel prices on muted activities
Press Trust of India New Delhi Muted conditions were seen at the steel market in the national capital today with prices of saria and other steels moved in a tight range on little doing and settled flat.
Traders said paucity of funds and absence of demand from construction and engineering units mainly kept steel prices flat.
In the saria segment, Kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm, 12-mm and 16 -25 mm were unchanged at Rs 40,200, Rs 39,000, 39,000 and RS 38,500 per tonne, respectively.
Movements in other steels, however, restricted due to absence of any worthwhile activities.

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 40,400, 10-mm Rs 39,200, 12-mm Rs 39,200, 16-25 mm Rs 38,700.

Angle Capital (IS) (40X5) (40x6) Rs 44,100, (35X5)(65X6) Rs 44,600, Girder (125X65) Rs 41,000.
