'Time not ripe for Kashmiri Pandits' return to Valley'

Time is not ripe for the return of the Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley, displaced community organisations said today.
"Time is not ripe for return of the community to the Valley", All India Kashmiri Pandit Conference (AIKPC) President, H N Jattu said while giving his presentation to Parliamentary panel in New Delhi.
Kashmiri Pandit organisations presented their stand regarding the 137th Report of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home affairs headed by Venkaiah Naidu, that also included L K Advani and Navin Jindal among others as its members.
The Home Secretary Anil Goswami and the senior state government officers were also present in the meeting.

President-All state Kashmiri Pandit conference, H L Chatta in his presentation alleged that the killers of the Pandits are roaming free in the streets of Kashmir and government has not taken any action against them.
Till date no commission of enquiry has been set up to enquire into the reasons for the rise of fundamentalism and terrorism in the Valley, he alleged.

President-Kashmiri Samiti Delhi Rakesh Kaul, in his address made an emotional speech regarding the pitiable condition of the displaced community in the Jagti camp and also the sorry state of affairs of the displaced traders and teachers at Delhi.

He gave the detailed account of cultural genocide being perpetrated against the hapless community in Kashmir.
He also claimed that the names of many towns and historical places in Kashmir have been changed into Islamic lexicon.
