Elsewhere, select brass, copper and lead moved up on mild buying from industrial users.
The industrial metals declined at the LME on dissappointing Chinese factory data and concerns over US spending cuts.
Tin dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,410 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,415.
Zinc and copper scrap heavy softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 150 and Rs 485.
However, lead and brass edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 136 and Rs 336 from overnight close of Rs 134 and Rs 334.
Copper armiture also inched up by a rupee per kg to Rs 475.
