"Great News" has been ordered to series from "30 Rock" writer Tracey Wigfield, and produced by Fey and her writing partner Robert Carlock, reported Digital Spy.
Briga Heelan - from the freshly-cancelled "Undateable" - and Andrea Martin star as a mother and daughter whose relationship gets a bit complicated when they start working together.
An NBC synopsis for "Great News" read: "Getting along with some colleagues can be rough, but working with your mum? That's a whole other story.
"When Katie (Heeland), an up-and-coming news producer, finds out her overbearing mum (Martin) has rejoined the workforce as an intern at the station where Katie works, it might just be the worst news ever. But, with her biggest cheerleader at her side, Katie might finally get the recognition she deserves.
