Temple Deputy Executive Officer Chinnamgari Ramana told PTI that the Rathasapthami is conducted on the day of 'Surya Jayanthi' on the seventh day of 'Magha Maasa' annually.
As part of the festival, the centuries-old utsav idol of Lord Venkateswara, adorned with several gem set ornaments mounted on 'seven sacred golden vahanas' (carriers), will be taken out in a procession around the shrine separately at different intervals from dawn to night tomorrow, he said.
The fete would commence with a grand procession of 'Surya Prabha Vahana' and conclude with 'Chandra Prabha Vahana' procession.
