The stock soared 18.98 per cent to end at Rs 784.55
on BSE. During the day, it zoomed 24.85 per cent to Rs 823.30.
At NSE, shares of the company jumped 18.78 per cent to close at Rs 783.70.
In terms of equity volume, 15.38 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 2 crore shares changed hands at NSE during the day.
Titan Company on Friday reported a 67.44 per cent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 277.93 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, on account of higher sales in its jewellery division.
Titan's total income stood at Rs 3,517.7 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 2,714.98 crore in the year-ago period, up 29.56 per cent, it said in a BSE filing.
