Tiwari, accompanied by party colleagues, went to the slum settlement around 9.30 PM and spent some time talking to the locals and appealed to them to use Bhim App, launched by Prime Minister, for their daily expenses.
Tiwari spent the night at the place of local social activist Janki Behan.
The famous Bhojpuri actor-singer-turned politician attracted a large crowd who cheered him as he rendered lines hailing people for their support to demonetisation despite spending time in queues outside banks and ATMs.
"Aam Admi Party seems to be in dismay since I announced that I will be going amongst people to check the ground realities of Kejriwal government's claims on development.
"They are shaken by the public response to my first mass contacts at Rohini, Najafgarh and Bawana but after my New Year-eve stay at Inderpuri Jhuggi Basti, the desperation of AAP leaders has come out in open and they are trying to misguide the people on frivolous issues," he said.
He said the "biggest problem" of the slum-dwellers are of "almost negligible water supply, filthy toilets and lack of bathing space for the women" which he also found during his night-stay at Inderpuri slum.
