After the Katwa Municipal polls threw a hung board with both TMC and Congress tied at 10, the Congress at the last minute left the door open for TMC.
The TMC-run civic board today took oaths.
However, the opposition alleged one of the ruling councillors had two arrest warrants pending against him in connection with murder and explosive cases and was reported absconding by the police.
But SDO Mridul Halder and Additional SP Prasanta Kumar Chowdhury said they were not aware of any official report in this regard regarding the councillor Jangal Seikh.
