'TN becomes 4th largest state for large appliances' purchase'

Tamil Nadu has become the fourth largest state in terms of purchase of large appliances and TVs in terms of demand on Amazon.in, a top company official said today.
The state saw close to three times Year on Year growth with Coimbatore emerging as one of the fastest growing markets in this category, Category Leader, Appliance, Amazon India, Suchit Sabhas told reporters here.
Customers in Tamil Nadu are gearing up for the summer season and showing high interest levels and comfort in shopping for high-end large appliances on Amazon.in, he said.
In the last two months, air conditioners and refrigerators sales have grown 3.5 times compared to the same period last year, Suchit said.

"Tamil Nadu is a critical market for Amazon and the company has five fulfilment centres (godowns)" in the state, he said.
The state has become the 4th largest market after Karnataka, Maharashtra and Delhi for large appliances, with customers shopping for a range of ACs, Refrigerators, washing machines and other appliances, Suchit said.
