Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit Thursday attended several events here, including those taken up under the Swachch Bharat initiative, and also received petitions from the people.
The Governor visited a photo exhibition detailing the various initiatives taken up in the district under the Swachch Bharat initiative, a Raj Bhavan press release said.
Later, he administered a pledge to students and others on cleanliness, and gave away equipment and financial assistance to a women's self-help group involved in making cloth bags to replace plastic carrybags, it said.
He was then given a power-point presentation on the developmental activities in the district during a meeting with government officials, the release said.
