TNM leader arrested for attempting to observe fast

Nine persons, including P Nedumaran, President of "Ulaga Thamizhar Peramaippu" (World Tamil Nationalist Movement) and a woman law college student, were arrested today when they attempted to observe a fast without permission near the District Collector's office here demanding total prohibition in Tamil Nadu, police said.
Police arrested them as they came to observed the fast.
