To highlight plight of Sikhs, radicals to hold march

Some radical Sikh outfits today said they would hold a rally next month in Jalandhar in Punjab demanding bringing to justice the perpetrators of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
The Dal Khalsa and SAD (Panch Pardani) will organise a a march on November one to protest the killing of Sikhs during the '84 violence, Harchranjit Singh Dhami and Harpal Cheema, leaders of the two outfits, said here.
The protesters will also assemble at sikh shrines in the city to offer prayers in memory of those killed during the carnage, they said.
The march will also highlight the plight of Sikhs, the leaders of the two Panthic groups said.

A function will also be held at Akal Takht, the highest temporal of the Sikhs, on October 31 to honour the kin of Beant Singh, the assassin of former premier Indira Gandhi, they said.
