The "Edge of Tomorrow" actor filed a USD 50-million defamation lawsuit against Bauer Publishing Co in October 2012 over reports published in Life & Style and In Touch magazines, which claimed he "abandoned" Suri after separating from ex-wife Katie Holmes, reported TMZ Online.
"I have in no way cut Suri out of my life - whether physically, emotionally, financially or otherwise," he says in the documents filed on Tuesday, November 5.
The "Oblivion" star goes on describing times he spent together with his daughter following the separation.
Cruise also reveals that although he was busy filming two movies last year, he received regular update about Suri from her mother.
"As my numerous emails with Suri's mother during this time period demonstrate, I was a constant presence in Suri's life," he explains, adding, "While I'm sure my daughter misses me when I am not with her as I miss her, she is a very happy child, and we have a wonderful relationship and cheerful phone calls.
