Hilfiger, 63, has inked a deal with Ballantine Books for a book expected this fall, the publisher announced, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
According to Ballantine, an imprint of Random House, Hilfiger will describe "the setbacks, triumphs and sheer determination" that marked his rise from a little denim shop in Elmira, New York, to worldwide fame.
The memoir is currently untitled. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Hilfiger's previous works include collaborations 'New England Style' and 'Iconic America: A Roller-Coaster Ride Through the Eye-Popping Panorama of American Pop Culture'.
