A team of Central crime branch police officials arrested C Praveen, Chief Operating officer of Sun TV Network, from his home.
"We have booked him under Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Sexual Harassment of Women Act. He has allegedly been harassing the woman for past two years," a senior Central crime branch official said.
The woman, who quit her job five months ago, held a senior position in the programming section of Surya TV, the Malayalam Channel of Sun Network.
"The victim had furnished evidence including voice and data recordings of conversations," he said, adding, the probe is on.
The channel is tight-lipped about the development.
Sun TV Network is owned by the Maran brothers--Kalanidhi and Dayanidhi.
