Top UK curry chefs to take part in food festival in Chandigarh

A selection of sumptuous British curry recipes prepared by renowned UK chefs will tempt taste buds of Indian food lovers at a festival starting next week in Chandigarh.
The 'Britain Curry Festival'festival to be held at Hotel Hyatt Regency from March 17 to 26 will be the centre of culinary focus as chefs from the UK will showcase their talent at the event.
A team of British curry chefs will produce a variety of 40 dishes, giving diners a unique opportunity to taste an exclusive selection of British curry dishes.
"This is a great opportunity, which excites me to showcase my dishes. My aim is to offer highest quality of British food with freshest ingredients; ensuring diners have a memorable experience," said acclaimed British chef Rupert Rowley who is also part of the team.
"I am a very big fan of curry and what really excites me more that, I will be with a team of best curry chefs from the UK. I am really looking forward to work alongside them and flying the flag for British cuisine in India. Hopefully we will get chance to try some of the local speciality too," Rupert said.
Rupert will showcase traditional English cuisine in the hotel's European restaurant, while his colleagues will offer contemporary British Indian food in the Urban Cafe restaurant.
"The experience of the Taste of Britain Curry Festival is one not to be missed - our food festivals are outpourings of incredible flavours. You will find finest food brought to you by chefs with a real passion and talent," said Syed Belal Ahmed, Festival organiser and the editor of Curry Life Magazine, which organises the festival.
"We are delighted to be hosting the Taste of Britain Curry Festival at the Hyatt Regency Chandigarh - a place to meet, connect, eat and celebrate. This event promises to be yet another gastronomic celebration of Taste; coming together from two diverse cultures of Britain and India," said Puneet Baijal, General Manager, Hotel Hyatt Regency.
