Tourist killed as toy train derails in Darjeeling

A woman tourist from Kolkata was today killed and several others were injured when the Jungle Safari special toy train derailed in Darjeeling district, police said.
After one of the three coaches of the toy train derailed near Chunabhatti, around 30 km from here, tourists got panicked and started jumping from the train.
One of them, Moli Pal, was hit on the head when she fell on the ground after jumping and died, the police said, adding that several others sustained minor injuries.
Tourists take the Jungle Safari special toy train of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway to enjoy the beauty of the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary.
