The newly commissioned grid substation will benefit over 80,000 existing and new TPDDL customers in Naraina Industrial Area, Inderpuri and its adjoining areas.
The grid substation has been built at a total cost of Rs 9 crore.
The Naraina Grid Substation is an unmanned grid and will be remotely operated by the TPDDL's state-of-the-art Supervisory Controlled and Data Acquisition Center.
Earlier, these areas were primarily fed from Inderpuri Grid.
"With this state-of the-art grid substation the customers of Naraina and adjoining areas will be immensely benefited.
"Today, we are not only providing round the clock quality power supply but also successfully meeting the ever growing power demand. This would not have been possible without focusing on regular power distribution network augmentation," Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said.
