The driver of th tractor tried to cross the railway line in an 'illegal manner' but the vehicle got stranded on the tracks.
In the meantime, Barmer-Haridwar Kalka Express approached and hit the tractor.
The driver managed to jump before the collision, C R Kumawat, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager said.
He said the track was affected for nearly two hours and it was later reopened.
