A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 has been registered against the constable Vichitra Kumar posted in Delhi Traffic Police and a person named Digvijay Singh, said V Renganathan, Additional Commissioner of Police of Anti-corruption Branch.
According to Renganathan, the department received a complaint that a traffic constable Kumar was demanding bribe of Rs 600 for allowing the complainant to ply his vehicles unauthorizedly.
Following this, a trap was laid and Kumar and his accomplice Singh, a tea stall owner were allegedly caught red handed during the act.
The officials arrested the duo and registered a case against them.
