Train robbers arrested

With the arrest of three persons, police today claimed to have busted a gang of train-robbers, who, they said, have committed crimes in more than 50 trains.
Ajay Kalia, a resident of Unnao and Aslam of Moradabad were arrested after police laid a trap at Platform number 1 of Ghaziabad Railway station, while Kalluram, of Meerut, was held from his house in Karawal Nagar area in Delhi, a senior police officer said.
Jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh was recovered from them, and they are being interrogated about their hideouts and other accomplices, the officer said, adding that the gang used to rob passengers at gunpoint and have done so in more than 50 trains.
