Budget hospitality chain Treebo Hotels plans to add over 1,350 properties to its network by 2018-end to expand business in the country.
The company also plans to take the number of cities where it would be present to 100 from the current 25 cities, including all major cities, metros and leisure destinations.
Currently, it has about 125 properties with inventory of 3,200 keys.
"We are planning to have up to 1,500 hotel properties as part of our group by the end of 2018 across the country," Treebo Hotels Co-founder and MD Sidharth Gupta told PTI.
Highlighting that Treebo Hotels is not an online aggregator, he said though the company does not own any hotels but properties that are under its brand provide certain specific value proposition to customers.
"We ensure that all hotels under our brand follow certain quality standards. We take entire hotels under our brand and not certain rooms as many others do," he added.
When asked about the business model the company follows, Gupta said: "We are a budget hotel brand. Our average price point is Rs 2,000. The business model that we follow is technology enabled and franchise based."
The company had recently raised Rs 112 crore in a new funding round.
On the company's plans to utilise the funds, Gupta said: "It would be used on technology, expansion and marketing."
In 2015, Treebo Hotels was started by three IIT Roorkee graduates -- Sidharth Gupta, Rahul Chaudhary and Kadam Jeet Jain.
