Organized by Majhi-Pargana, Manki-Munda, Bhumij-Sardar Samanway Samity, over 10,000 tribals, armed with traditional weapons such as bow and arrows, took part in the rally at Karandih on the outskirts of the steel city of Jamshedpur.
Describing the amendment in the tenancy acts as well as the domicile policy announced by the Raghubar Das-headed Jharkhand government as "unconstitutional", the speakers were unanimous in their demand to revoke it immediately.
