Activists and legal experts today paid rich tributes to former chief justice of Delhi High Court and activist Rajinder Singh Sachar who passed away last month.
Sachar (94), responsible for bringing to the fore the socio-economic and educational conditions of the Muslim community, died of pneumonia with septic shock syndrome and heart-related complications on April 20. A meeting was held here to remember him.
Syed Zafar Mahmood, who was part of the Rajinder Sachar Committee set up by former prime minister Manmohan Singh, said, "A man like him hasn't been born in ages. He would always support truth."
