South Western Army Commander Lt Gen Arun Kumar Sahni laid wreaths to honour the gallant warriors to mark the 11th raising day of the Command, said defence spokesperson Lt Col Manish Ojha.
The Army Commander in his message to commemorate the occasion remembered the supreme sacrifice made by the martyrs.
He extended his felicitations to all members of Sapta Shakti fraternity, including veterans, and expressed his gratitude for their constant contribution, Ojha said in a release.
The Sapta Shakti Command was raised on April 15, 2005 at Jaipur as the Seventh Command of the Indian Army.
Lt Gen HJS Sachdev, Chief of Staff, Maj Gen Somnath Jha, GOC 61 Sub Area and other serving and retired officers were present on the occasion.
