It had posted a net loss of Rs 85.60 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a BSE filing.
Income from operations also increased to Rs 468.05 crore in the fourth quarter of last fiscal from Rs 447.65 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Total expenses fell to Rs 411.28 crore during January- March period from Rs 486.94 crore in the year-ago period.
During the 2015-16 fiscal, Triveni Engineering and Industries posted a net loss of Rs 9.80 crore against a loss of Rs 152.06 crore in the previous year.
