TRS seek Z+ security for KCR, fears threat to his life

The Telangana Rashtra Samiti today sought 'Z+' category security cover for its president K Chandrasekhar Rao, alleging that contract killers were hired to "eliminate" him.
"Some evil forces are trying to eliminate our leader KCR. We have credible information that someone paid 'supari' for it. The state will burn if anything happens to him and the government will be held responsible for it," TRS MLAs Etela Rajender and T Harish Rao said here today.
The TRS MLAs told reporters that they have already informed Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence) about the threat to KCR.
"We will come out with concrete details about the conspiracy at an appropriate time. We want the government to conduct a detailed inquiry into this and take steps for his protection," they demanded.

Rao has been vociferously demanding a separate Telangana state for the last many years.
The Centre recently gave a nod to carving out separate Telangana state out of Andhra Pradesh.
